Novi Vinodolski, a town that originated from the old Frankopan fort in the fertile Vinodol valley ("Vallis vinearia"), a historical, political and cultural centre of the Vinodol principality, owing to the evergreen vegetation, the Mediterranean climate, clear sea and air, is one of the oldest Kvarner tourist resorts.

The spirit of Novi Vinodolski will be found in remnants of the cultural heritage: walls of the Roman fort "Lopsica", the old town nucleus, remnants of the monastery of the Pavlini monks, of the Frankopan castle with the round tower the Cathedral, the small St. Trinity Church and St. Marin Church on the homonymous island, the Mažuranić brothers' house, the reading room and library from 1845, the County museum and Gallery, as well as the preserved original local folklore.

The town and its surrondings, free of industrial pollutants, woods in the immediate hinterland suitable for hunting tourism, sports-recreational facilities, crystal-clear sea, outdoor and indoor sea-water swimming pools and the numerous cultural-entertainment events, among which we sigle out the International Summer Carnival, are only part of the experiences that expect you here!
